SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER / TEST LEAD

Descripción:
Software Test Engineer willing to help in setting up our Test team for the Products' department and, once in place, also act as Test Lead. You will be carrying out quality control activities including reviewing documents, writing and maintaining test scripts, preparing and performing functional tests, tracking bugs and writing reports. You will identify potential automation areas, design and build automate tests
Main responsibilities:
-Develop and Validate Test Plans that cover the entire software development process
-Define the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery.
-Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, design test methods, test cases and other documentation for functional and regression testing
-Design, deploy and manage the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate.
-Document test execution.
-Design and build up Agile testing and QA teams testing processes
-Identify potential automation areas; design and build automated tests.
-Identify and propose testing process enhancements
-Extract and analyze tests metrics
-Risk management: detect and manage test risks.
-Participating in quality assurance activities and continual process improvements.
-Implement Software Development best practices
-Regular status reports of testing activities to the QA Manager
In addition to the above, as Test Lead you might help QA Manager in:
-Implementing and evolving appropriate measurements and metrics.
-To be applied against the Product under test.
-To be applied against the Testing Team.
-Planning, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given engagement / release.
Managing and growing Testing assets required for meeting the testing mandate:
-Team Members
-Testing Tools
-Testing Process
-Recruiting and retaining skilled testing personnel.
Perfil buscado (Hombre / Mujer):
Required skills/experience:
-At least 2 years in a similar position.
-Total work experience working with IT / software development / software testing should be at least 5 years
-Good knowledge of formal testing techniques, test processes and procedures.
-Experience in test automation applications and scripted regression testing
-Knowledge of a programming language such as Java
-Excellent written and spoken English skills
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Strong communication skills
-Ability to write technical documentation, reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Meriting skills/experience:
-Agile Testing Experience
-Ability to work well both alone and within a larger team.
-Experience managing teams
-Experience with moving test procedures from manual to automatic test methods.
-Experience working with open source tools, libraries and products
-Knowledge of Agile work processes
-Knowledge about Quality Management Systems, CMMI, Six Sigma -Good analytical skills with a challenging and enquiring mind
-Good communication skills, organized and motivated, persistent, driven to complete tasks
-Responsible and reliable
