Senior QA Engineer

Summary:
Working closely with their QA Manager, the Senior QA Engineeris a very important, hands-on role within the organization, being given a level of empowerment not usually found within similar companies Not only is a Senior QA Engineer expected to undertake all of the preparation and execution duties that would normally be associated with this kind of role, they will also be expected to work closely with their QA Manager in the full ownership of testing services for one or more projects in the delivery pipeline. This ownership is end to end and starts at the planning stage and is completed once the project has been delivered. This is a hands on role and requires a good mix of skills as the individual is expected to be able to work with all levels of QA resource as well as various levels of stakeholder within the business. The projects undertaken will normally be concentrated around back office functions such as payment system handling and the creation of numerous landing page and micro-sites. The Senior QA Engineer will also be expected to work in collaboration with the QA Manager as well as other Senior QA Engineers to help implement new or improve upon existing processes and practices to ensure that our software products demonstrate the quality and polish the company stands for.
Responsibilities:
- Whilst remaining hands-on, to own and manage the testing services provided for one or more projects in the delivery pipeline, taking ownership of the planning, preparation and execution phases of a project
- Depending upon the size and scale of a project, must be able to work by themselves or to manage additional resource assigned to their project in a team leading capacity
- To be able to assist with preparation and execution duties for other Senior QA Engineers on their projects as directed by their QA Manager
- To work with their QA Manager and other key stakeholders to implement and enhance existing processes and procedures
- To liaise with other members of the QA group as well as with numerous disciplines within the business to the professional standard expected within the QA function.
Requirement:
- 3-4 years in a hands-on, senior Testing / QA capacity
- Bachelors degree in related discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems etc)
- Excellent soft skills such as reporting, communication etc.
- Excellent verbal skills, must be English speaking
- Strong experience in working across multiple streams of work
- Experience in consistently delivering against agreed timelines
- Strong knowledge of Quality Center
- ISEB qualified (preferably to Practitioner Level)
- Experience with automated testing (functional and/or non functional) is preferred
- Prior exposure to gaming or gambling software is preferred
- Prior exposure to the testing of payment systems such as Visa, NetTeller, Click2Pay etc. is preferred
- Prior exposure to the effective testing of micro-sites and landing pages
