BioWare Austin is hard at work on the massively multiplayer online game, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

We are currently searching for a QA Outsourcing Lead for our Localization team. NOTE: This is a contract/temporary position; no relocation assistance is available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in day to day monitoring of bugs in DevTrack.
o Allocation/Triage of all the Localization bugs to the proper parties (Dev. Team or Localization team)
o Ensure content and non content bugs are being managed accordingly to the QA DevTrack workflow by the responsible parties (Development team, Testing and Localization Vendors)
• Report any issues to MMO Loc PMs and make suggestions to improve the QA process
• Available to address daily QA issues, specifically aiming to provide DevTrack support and technical support (game accounts, troubleshoot test shards and client, slash commands)
• Finds and reports common issues/inconsistencies among bugs.
o Review bugs to ensure that the testers are consistent in the QA process and that the development teams are consistent in their response to these bugs
• Qualified to provide training to Testing Vendor (remote testing and on-site).
• Test and qualify localization features before they go into the integration process.
• Perform pseudoloc review of content to look for hardcoded and HSL text in localized assets.
• Perform pseudoloc GUI audits (review of GUI screens to be on compliance with GUI localization guidelines before they are integrated in the game)
• Develop and run localization BVT’s
• Know the Development Team and the existing tools well. Main QA point of contact in Austin for Localization.

REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ year of software testing experience
• 1-2 years of software testing in a Lead or PM role
• Familiarity/Ability to troubleshoot PC Hardware/Software
• Experience with DevTrack
• Experience with the MS Office Family of products
• Experience with Windows XP/Vista
• Ability to stay focused when handling repetitive and monotonous tasks
• Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks
• Focus on continuous improvement
• Advanced Excel Experience
• Experience working with outsourcers / externally located groups
• Experience working with different cultures
• Gaming industry experience
• MMO gamer/knowledge
• Testing experience in the gaming industry
• Solid problem identification skills
• French or German knowledge will be a plus
