Performance Test Engineer
at Riplife Gaming Technologies in Barcelona
We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to work with our software development and QA team in the Barcelona office.
The candidate will primarily focus on performance testing as well as identifying performance issues to ensure the quality of our software products. The testing will involve both manual and automated test-cases working with tools such as WebLOAD. In addition, the Performance Test Engineer will use his/her experience to identify and implement process and automation improvements to improve test efficiency and coverage.
Key Responsibilities
• Defining operational profiles test scope and corresponding test cases for performance testing.
• Identifying potential performance issues across servers, databases and networks and analyzing the root cause of such issues.
• Development (automation) of test cases and test-harnesses, ensuring that scripts created are to a high standard and well maintained.
• Recommend enhancements to existing processes and tools to improve team productivity.
• Working with minimal supervision to achieve committed deadlines.
Requirements
• 3+ years experience in Scripting /automation with one or more of JavaScript, Java or Groovy.
• Proven track record in performance benchmarking /profiling of enterprise level high-throughput systems including identification of bottlenecks.
• Experience in Web load testing and Web Services load testing
• Experience working with UNIX and databases such as DB2, Oracle, MYSQL in a QA, development or Sys Admin role.
• Fluent English
• Computer Science degree or similar
Desirable
• PL/SQL scripting experience.
• Ideally some UNIX (Linux/Solaris) System Administration skills
• Experience working with Java development tools and debugging issues.
• Experience with WebLOAD
• Experience working with Selenium\ Webdriver
• Exposure to Agile methodologies
