We are recruiting a superstar Lead Tester / QA Engineer:

peerTransfer is looking for an experienced software QA engineer to join team in testing web applications. The QA engineer will collaborate closely with development and product management teams. The lead tester will develop and execute processes for pre-release testing and ongoing QA. This role is located in our Valencia, ES office.

Your Role

• Develop and execute test strategies and plans that validate product specifications and functionality
• Document clear, concise and detailed product defect reports and work with developers to ensure successful defect reproduction and resolution
• Work closely with product development and software engineering to develop tests early during feature specification
• Refine existing / define new quality assurance processes and documentation
• Identify opportunities for automation, and execute existing automated test harness
• Evangelize the concept of quality product through quality processes

Your Profile

• Highly motivated and passionate about quality
• Strong web technology skills and experience with testing web applications is a must
• Thorough understanding of the role of QA in an Agile software development life-cycle
• Ability to work in a test-driven, collaborative, fast paced environment
• Experience with integration testing frameworks, such as Cucumber, a plus
• Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Ruby, shell scripting, Perl, PowerShell etc
• System and network administration experience a plus
• Experience with security testing a plus
• Experience with load testing a plus
• Fluent in both Unix and Windows environments
• Minimum 3 years direct and fresh software QA experience
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering related field (or equivalent industry experience)
• Highly motivated self starter, first class communication skills, outstanding organizational skills
