QA Engineer

Tuenti is seeking a talented QA Engineer to join our new Quality Assurance team. This team will be actively involved in our product development process – creating test plans based on product requirements, writing test cases, and executing these test cases before and after the product is released. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to work with a dynamic, object-oriented language, preferably PHP, and some perform Unix/Linux and shell scripting. This person must be able to communicate with developers, and be passionate about quality and testing. Our release cycle is fast-paced – active participation and coordination with the development teams is essential. He or she should be able and willing to learn new things quickly, and be enthusiastic about working with a new QA Team starting from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
* ensure that the testing framework works properly both for developers and continuous integration * re-factor existing PHP code to improve performance, clarity, and maintainability * manually check failing test cases to diagnose problems * follow up on bugs found during testing * investigate tools to incorporate into our test ware: automation frameworks, mulit-browser test tools, traffic generators, etc. * support developers on writing and executing test cases * participate in release cycle, including validation of code for release, attendance of the release, validation of code in production environment following release.Requirements:
